Things have been pretty busy. As soon as we got back from our Florida trip, we had the kick off of our single mom's ministry, The Haven. That went really well. We had more than enough school supplies donated and were able to help out not only area single moms but also 2 other charities. The night of the meeting Darren played at SUPPER Restaurant again, that's always fun.
This past Saturday, we headed to Cane Creek for Darren to sing at a wedding. It was at a camp ground. It was a very different experience, but then again, so was our wedding.
We've done quite a bit of babysitting over these past few weeks. I kept Sydni one night while our friend Greta (Sydni's mom) was out of town. Randy (Sydni's dad) and Darren had a meeting that night so we just stayed at the house and had a ball. Randy was really surprised when he came to pick her up and she didn't want to leave. She had me fix her hair in a pony tail. Later Randy told me that she wouldn't let him take it down that night before she went to bed. She kept saying "but crystal, crystal," She's a sweetie.
This past Friday night Darren and I babysat David. His mom is in our single mom's group. He's a really sweet kid. Darren was great with him. We had lots of fun going to the pool, watching movies, and playing with playdoh. He insisted on keeping his shirt off. He said he was hot...I, on the other hand was in my sweatsuit :)
I'm looking forward to this Friday night, It's date night in the park...they are showing Notting Hill! :)
