(above: Daddy watching Harper sleep...)Friday evening, Darren and I decided to go get a puppy that I had found for free online. We've been talking about getting another puppy in hopes of finding Jude a friend. We figure that if he had a friend while we were gone, he wouldn't cry and so we could possibly get him back. (Jude's been staying with my parents since he has severe separation anxiety).
Harper is a Weimaraner & Golden Retriever mix. He really looks like a black lab though. So far he's been a really good pup. He sleeps a lot, as puppies do but he also has his playful times. He's doing great with potty training...our current task is getting him used to wearing a collar and being on a leash. We've been walking him about twice a day around the neighborhood. We like to get him nice and tired before we have to leave. Jude and Harper are night and day when it comes to us leaving. Because of Jude's disorder, he always had a very hard time the whole time we were gone...caused us to have a few noise violations... Harper just sleeps the entire time...which will most likely change as he gets older but at least he's getting used to us leaving now so hopefully it won't be that big of a deal in the future.
Well Harper is excited about going to see Nana and Papa Elks and all his cousins and brother over Labor Day weekend. See ya'll then!
