Weekend Mania!

This weekend was quite full of fun and exciting stuff. Darren and I started off Friday afternoon by taking our first trip to our neighborhood pool. Surprisingly it was really really nice. Hopefully we'll have time to do that more often. Then we went out to dinner and came home and watched a movie.
Saturday morning we were up bright and early to bring our bikes to Scott and Darians house for a little fixin' up. The guys worked on adjusting things on our bikes so that we could go riding around lunch. So around 1 we met up at Frank Liske park to ride our bikes. It wasn't a real good first experience. Scott tried to bike down some steps and ended up breaking something on his and then Darren was ....well I don't know what Darren was trying to do but he broke his then I just got to feeling really sick in the middle of our biking. We'll have to try again on another day :) Hopefully it will be a better experience the next time around.
After that, we headed to Darren parents house at 3 to rehearse for Sunday night's concert at 2nd Baptist.
The practice ended and Darren and I headed to Jeremy and Jill's house to babysit their 3 children. We had a blast. First we ate some pizza then played outside for a bit. After we came in, the kids washed up and got their PJ's on. Darren took the cushions off the couches and put them together in the floor and draped pillows and blankets on top. The kids loved this. They all three layed down and watched "Bolt" and then it was time for bed. We ended up staying until around midnight then headed home. Jeremy and Jill are great friends of ours and in a few weeks they will be moving to Nashville to start a church. We were glad we could do something for them before they leave. We're really going to miss them.
On Sunday we had another 10 or so people get baptised. This makes for over 50 in two weeks. Praise the Lord!
We tried to get a short nap before heading to 2nd Baptist to meet the family. Amanda asked Darren and I to sing a song and she also played a duet with her father and Mrs. Libby read some scripture in between. Amanda is really talented on the Flute and Piano, it sounded incredible.
It reminded me of those "Elks Family" specials we used to do so often :)
Now it's back to another Monday....
