There is no great genius without some touch of madness - Seneca

This past week was a busy one. Tuesday I had a CT scan, Darren starting recording in the studio and the band had an extra practice. Wednesday after work the band had their regular practice, and Thursday the band and I traveled to Locust, NC and played until after 9pm. Believe me, we were beat. It was a fun time though.
When Friday rolled around Darren and I left for Greenville right after I got off of work. We ended up getting there around 9:30. The next morning the guys worked on putting a new side panel on my car. (Hopefully we can get it painted and sell it soon!) It's such a money pit at this point. Well we gave mom her Mothers Day present and spent some time with our little Jude. After the guys finally got the new panel on we had to leave quickly and make it back to Concord. We ended up getting back at about 4:30 and then headed to PF Changs to meet Darren's side of the family for a Mothers Day dinner. It was yummy and we ate entirely too much. After dinner Darren and I went to the mall for a bit and luckily the Steve Madden store was going out of business so I got a new pair of shoes and then Darren got a t-shirt from Fossil.
On Sunday after church we had planned to go to Frank Liske park and meet up with some people from church but we ended up getting wrapped up in cleaning the house and doing the laundry so by the time we got out there, every one had left. We then headed to Advance Auto and got a part for Darren's jeep and Praise God!!!! It now runs even when it rains!!! The fix only costs us $9.00. Afterward we grabbed a movie and enjoyed an evening of relaxation. Well... I still hemmed a pair of shorts and sewed up a hole in a pair of Darren khaki's but it was still pretty relaxing.
This week should be more relaxing. Other than a leadership meeting on Tuesday, we should have every night free this week :) Darren cancelled practice this Wednesday and made it a "Have a date with your wife" night. The guys were not as thrilled as we thought they would be over this.
Darren surprised me this week with a 3 night Hilton stay in Orlando at the end of July! We are so excited to go back to Disney. I can't hardly wait!
